Job Overview
A luxury-brand dealership in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Used Vehicle Stock Controller to join their team.
The dealership sells approximately 50–60 vehicles per month. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for used-vehicle stock control, while also being able to stand in and assist with New Vehicle stock control under the Agency Model when required.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and control all used-vehicle stock accurately and efficiently
* Maintain up-to-date vehicle stock records on the dealership system
* Process vehicle purchases, trade-ins, transfers and stock movements
* Ensure all vehicle documentation is complete, correct and properly filed
* Monitor vehicles from acquisition through preparation, display and final delivery
* Coordinate vehicle reconditioning, inspections, licensing and registration
* Reconcile physical vehicle stock against the dealership’s stock records
* Conduct regular stock counts and promptly investigate any discrepancies
* Liaise with the Sales, Finance, Administration and Workshop departments
* Track outstanding documentation, invoices, spare keys and vehicle accessories
* Ensure vehicles are correctly loaded, priced and advertised on the relevant systems
* Prepare accurate stock reports for dealership management
* Assist with new-vehicle stock control under the Agency Model when required
* Ensure all stock-control processes comply with dealership and manufacturer requirements
* Maintain a high level of accuracy while managing approximately 50–60 vehicle sales per month
Minimum Requirements
Previous motor-dealership experience as a Vehicle Stock Controller
Strong used-vehicle stock-control experience
Able to assist with New Vehicle stock control when needed
Accurate, organised and able to work well under pressure
Experience within a luxury or premium brand dealership will be advantageous
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary: R16,000 – R25,000, negotiable according to experience
