Qualified Diagnostic Technician – Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
Job Overview
A reputable motor dealership in Durban is seeking a qualified and experienced Diagnostic Technician with excellent technical knowledge and strong fault-finding abilities.
The successful candidate must be a trade-tested Motor Mechanic with practical diagnostic experience and the ability to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.
Diagnose mechanical, electronic and electrical system faults.
Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems.
Carry out repairs according to manufacturer and workshop standards.
Conduct testing to verify successful repairs.
Assist with complex technical problems when required.
Complete job cards and technical reports accurately.
Maintain high workmanship and workshop safety standards.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified, trade-tested Motor Mechanic.
Proven automotive diagnostic experience.
Strong mechanical, electrical and electronic fault-finding knowledge.
Experience using automotive diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently and solve technical problems.
Good attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Valid driver's licence preferred.
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary: R18,000–R25,000 per month, negotiable.
