Diagnostic Technician / Motor Mechanic – Durban & Surroundings, KwaZulu-Natal (Full-Time)
Job Overview
A busy and reputable dealership in Durban and surrounding areas is seeking a qualified and experienced Diagnostic Technician / Motor Mechanic to join their workshop team.
This role is ideal for a skilled professional with strong diagnostic abilities who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
• Repair and maintain vehicles according to manufacturer standards
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues efficiently
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance
• Ensure all work is completed to high quality and safety standards
• Work efficiently within a busy workshop environment
Minimum Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ dealership experience in diagnostics
• Trade Tested Motor Mechanic / Technician
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Valid driver’s license (manual)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Salary & Benefits
• Basic salary: R15 000 – R22 000 (negotiable depending on experience)
