Automotive Warranty Clerk – Durban, KZN
Job Overview
An established motor vehicle dealership in Durban is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Warranty Clerk to support warranty administration, maintain accurate documentation and assist with the processing and follow-up of warranty claims in the Service Department.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with preparing, processing and submitting warranty claims.
Maintain accurate warranty records and supporting documentation.
Verify warranty-related information and ensure completeness of documentation.
Liaise with the Service Department, technicians and Parts Department.
Follow up on outstanding warranty documentation and claims.
Perform accurate data capturing, filing and record maintenance.
Assist the Service Manager with warranty administration.
Learn and comply with manufacturer warranty procedures and dealership requirements.
Minimum Requirements
Previous warranty experience is advantageous but not essential. Candidates with strong administrative backgrounds, relevant motor industry exposure and a basic understanding of mechanical components are encouraged to apply.
Strong administrative experience and excellent organisational abilities.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of motor vehicle mechanical components.
Knowledge of internal combustion engines and drivetrain systems.
Previous experience within a dealership Parts or Service Department advantageous.
Warranty administration experience beneficial but not essential.
Good computer literacy and communication skills.
Ability to manage documentation and follow administrative procedures.
Reliable, professional and willing to learn.
